- Read/Listen: Villanelle- Theodore Rotheke's The Waking (p.685)
- Analysis: Villanelle and immortality in writing
- Bring Draft of Lesson Plan to next class (work on handouts, videos, or visual aids you may need to produce)
- Begin working on Object Poem:
- Typed, name/period/date at top-left
- Title (DO NOT REVEAL THE OBJECT'S NAME IN THE TITLE)
- Speaker must be object/plant (DO NOT REVEAL THE OBJECT'S NAME IN THE POEM)
- must include: figurative language, rhyme, alliteration
- Must follow a poetic form: Italian Sonnet, English Sonnet, Villanelle, or Tanka
- skip a line at the end and reveal what the object is
- Due in class next Friday.
