Monday, February 13
Classwork
  1. Do Now: Quiz #21- ir, inter, intra, macro, mal, meta, mono
  2. Then: Creating the Works Cited
  3. Reminder: Bring Hard-Copy of Draft 1 to class on Wednesday (Draft 1 must include: Full Research Paper with at least 3 sources documented, Works Cited and Annotated Bibliography)
Homework
  • Complete Draft 1 of the research paper by Wednesday at the beginning of class (please do not wait until class-time to print it out)
Wednesday, February 15
Classwork
  1. Do Now: Personal Log reflecting on major changes that need to be made for Draft 2 of the research paper
  2. Then:  Group Editing (here is a sample of the editing format in case you miss class)
  3. Next: Creating an agenda for modified student-lead conferencing
  4. After: Scheduling modified student-lead  7-10 minute conferences (Note: many of you will need to make appointments outside of class-time)
Homework
  • Create Draft 2 of the research paper due in class next week, Wednesday
  • Independent Reading due Friday by 2:15!
Friday, February 17

  1. Do Now: Plagiarism video (if available) or article
  2. After: 10 minute open Q&A about research paper
  3. Then: modified student-lead conferences and reading/writing work day
